This is how one film speaks twelve languages

The proof, live

Don’t take our word.
Take the remote.

The hardest test for any lip match is a face you already know. These are world‑cinema scenes carried into a new language: flip the Lipsmatch cut against the original mid‑sentence, switch languages, and judge the mouth frame by frame. The voice is the performer’s own, recreated by Lipsmatch, and the mouth is matched to it word for word. Tap any film to watch it land in a new language.

Hindi Good Will Hunting One scene, a new language

Tap a film and it plays in its new language, with sound. The voice is recreated and the mouth matches every word.

Sync so true, nobody asks what language you shot in

Lipsmatch is our proprietary technology. Give it one master film and a dub in any language, and it re-animates every mouth in the frame to speak that language, frame-accurate, identity intact, ready for broadcast.

A dub used to be a compromise: the voice changed, the lips didn’t, and every viewer could feel it. Lipsmatch closes that gap, and the stage above is the evidence: scenes you already know, looping the exact beat where the talent speaks, the original and our output on one remote. The rest of this page is the long answer: what actually happens to your film, stage by stage, from the day one master arrives to the day twelve of them leave.

What happens to your film

Six stages sit between one approved master and a dozen native ones. No re-edit, no re-grade, no reshoot. Every loop on the right is a real output, running on footage from campaigns that aired.

  1. 01 Ingest

    The master arrives

One approved film, exactly as it shipped: 4K ProRes, a broadcast C2C master, a fifteen-second cutdown or a feature-length cut. We work on your delivery files natively, so there is no re-export, no generation loss, and nothing for your online editor to redo.

Survives intact: your grade, your grain, your mix, your timecode.

  2. 02 The dub

Every language gets a real performance

Bring your own dubs, or we produce them for you. Our technology recreates the star’s own voice in the new language, so they speak every language themselves, running on the approvals you already hold. Translation is supervised so the writing survives. Either way the dub is timed to your edit, beat for beat, because the lips will follow it exactly.

Survives intact: the rhythm of the scene, because the dub is performed to your cut.

  3. 03 Tracking

Every speaking face is found and followed

Tracking holds through the footage you actually shoot: angle changes, profiles, low light, moving cameras, several people in one frame, hands and props crossing the mouth. Each speaking face gets its own track through the cut. Everything else in the frame is marked untouchable.

Survives intact: every non-speaking face, and every pixel outside the mouths.

one performance held through changing camera angles
  4. 04 Re-animation

The mouth is rebuilt, frame by frame

Jaw, lips and teeth are re-formed to every syllable of the new track. The work is confined to the mouth region: the eyes, the expression, the light on the face carry straight through from your original. It holds even in difficult shots: a fork crossing the mouth, a moving camera, a face half turned away.

Survives intact: the performance. We move nothing but the mouth.

  5. 05 Finishing

    Human hands finish every close-up

Artists pass over the work shot by shot: teeth edges, beard lines, skin texture, motion blur matched to your original. Celebrity films get the full frame-by-frame treatment, because a face the whole country knows has to look exactly like themselves in every language.

Survives intact: identity, the details a famous face is judged on.

  6. 06 Delivery

    QC to air

Nothing ships that wouldn’t pass your own QC bay. Every close-up is reviewed by human eyes before you ever see it, and you sign off before anything airs. Then the set is delivered: one broadcast-ready master per language, cut-to-cut with your original.

Survives intact: your edit, with the same cuts and timecode in every language.

    • Cut-to-cut against your original: same edit, same timecode
    • Full-resolution broadcast masters that pass network QC
    • Every close-up human-reviewed before delivery
    • One master per language, 75+ delivered and aired to date

The performance stays. Only the language changes.

This work fails in the details, a soft tooth, a smeared beard, a smile that flattens. Lipsmatch is judged frame by frame on exactly those details before anything leaves the studio.

Maximum scrutiny, maximum polish

Why not reshoot, or just dub?

Every multilingual campaign picks one of four roads. Three of them trade away either the budget or the performance.

Lipsmatch Reshoot per language Traditional dub Subtitles
Looks shot in that language? Yes, lips match every word Yes No, the mouth says the old lines No, it’s the original plus text
Keeps the approved performance? Exactly the take you signed off No, re-acted every time The picture stays, the voice changes Yes, but eyes drop to the text
Cost per language A fraction of a shoot day A full production, again Low, a studio session Lowest, a text file
Adding one more language A few days, all languages at once Another shoot on the calendar Another recording session Fast, but nothing changes on screen
Needs the star’s dates again? Never Every language, every time No No
Passes broadcast QC? Yes, C2C masters Yes Yes, mismatch and all Rarely accepted for TV
The trade Native in every market, from one shoot Flawless, and it multiplies your budget Affordable, and it shows Cheapest, but your audience reads instead of watching
