Lipsmatch Film, TV and OTT
AI lip sync dubbing for film, TV and OTT
Lipsmatch is AI lip sync dubbing for films, series and documentaries. We match each actor's mouth to the dub, frame by frame. Bring the dubs from your own studio, or let us make them in each actor's recreated voice. You get one master for each language.
A film scene, now in Hindi
This scene from Good Will Hunting is a Lipsmatch technology demonstration on a film we do not own. We made it only to show the technology. It has no link to the film's makers or cast. Tap Original to see the scene in English, as released. Tap Lipsmatch to hear it in Hindi. The mouth forms every Hindi word. The face and the light stay as filmed.
More films now ship in more languages
Indian films and series now reach their viewers in many languages.
FICCI-EY counted 270 dubbed films in Indian cinemas in 2025, up from 204 in 2024. In 2024, 48% of Indian OTT releases came in regional languages. Some were made in that language, and others were dubbed or subtitled. In 2022, Ormax found that the average Indian streaming subscriber watched content in 4.6 languages.
A dubbed version can carry a film, but results swing. Ormax found that dubbed South Indian films made 31% of the Hindi box office in 2024. In 2025, they made 7%. A dub alone does not carry a film.
In a close-up, viewers notice when the voice speaks Hindi and the mouth speaks Telugu. Lipsmatch matches the mouth to every word of the dub. Each version of a pan-India release then plays as if it was filmed in that language.
What you get on every title
We offer two services for film and TV. You bring your own dub, or we make it in each actor's recreated voice.
Send the Hindi, Tamil or Spanish dub your studio made, and we match every mouth to it
We translate your dialogue, and each actor's recreated voice speaks it with the feeling of the take
12 of them aired in brand campaigns across India
One master for each language, with the same cuts as your original, made to your delivery spec
Our team checks teeth, beard lines, skin and motion blur in every close-up before you see it
You agree on the hours and languages with us and get finished episodes in regular batches
In the picture, only the mouth changes
We change the mouth area. The rest of each frame is your original.
The eyes, the expression, the light, the grade and the grain stay as you shot them. The cut and the timecode stay the same. Each language version lines up with your master.
We track every face that speaks, from the lead to an extra with one line. On the Good Day campaign films, two actors trade quick lines in one shot. Both mouths stay matched in 11 languages.
Documentaries work the same way. An interview subject keeps their own face and manner. Now they speak the viewer's language.
One series scene, two new languages
Series work runs the same way. This scene from the drama Succession is a Lipsmatch technology demonstration on a TV series we do not own. We made it only to show the technology. It has no link to the show's makers or cast. Tap Hindi or Malayalam to switch the language of the scene. Each version comes from the same English master.

How a film or series runs with us
It works like any other step in post-production. You send files. You screen what comes back.
How it works
Test one scene first
Send one scene and name one language. We send it back in that language, with every mouth matched, at no cost and with no commitment.
Send the locked cut
Send the final master, your language list and the files listed below. If your studio made dubs, add them.
Dub and match
If you need a dub, we translate your dialogue list into each language. Our technology recreates each actor's voice to speak it. Then we change each speaking mouth, frame by frame.
Screen and approve
Our team checks every close-up first. You screen and approve each language. Then you get one master for each language.
What to send for a film or series
Send what you already have. If something is missing, we tell you early. Our guide to preparing a video for dubbing explains each file.
- Your NDA. We are glad to sign it before you share anything. Your files travel encrypted, and only the people on your project can open them.
- The locked picture. Your final master at full resolution, as it will release.
- Separate sound tracks. Dialogue on its own, plus the music and effects track. Then the new dialogue fits cleanly into the mix.
- The script or dialogue list. We translate from it, so names, jokes and story terms stay right.
- Your dubs, if you have them. One track for each language, from any studio, timed to your cut.
- The delivery spec. The format each broadcaster or platform asks for.
- Your approvals. Confirm that you hold the approvals for each voice and face we work on, in the markets you plan.

Film and OTT dubbing questions
What is AI visual dubbing?
AI visual dubbing is a dub where the picture changes too. AI changes the actor's mouth, frame by frame, so it forms each word of the new language. The eyes, the expression and the rest of the frame stay as shot. People also call it lip sync dubbing. Our AI lip sync guide shows how it works.
Can AI dub a full movie?
Yes. Lipsmatch dubs features, series and documentaries. You send the film, and we send back one finished master for each language. We match every face that speaks, so two-person scenes keep both mouths in sync. In 2025, AMC booked a feature film with AI visual dubbing into 100 US cinemas.
Why are the lips out of sync in dubbed movies?
A normal dub changes only the sound. The actor's mouth still moves to the original language. Viewers hear one set of words and see another. Each language has its own mouth shapes and rhythm, so the gap shows most in close-ups. Lipsmatch closes the gap. We change the mouth to match each dubbed word.
Can AI dub a movie in the actor's own voice?
Yes, with Lipsmatch with dubbing. Our team translates the film's script and checks it. Our technology then recreates each actor's voice to speak it. The voice keeps the timing and feeling of the original take. Then we match the mouth to the new words. We do this only with the approvals you already have. Read more on voice translation.
How much does movie dubbing cost?
We quote each film or series as a project. The quote depends on the runtime, the number of languages and how many faces speak. It also depends on the number of close-ups and on who makes the dub. Send one scene and your language list. We send that scene back in your language, with the mouth matched, at no cost and with no commitment. Our dubbing cost guide explains each factor.
Can you dub a web series or a whole season?
Yes. We plan a season as one project. Each actor keeps the same recreated voice from the first episode to the last. Our team checks every episode before it ships. For a long season or a library, a monthly plan fixes the hours and languages each month. We deliver in regular batches.
Do you deliver masters to OTT and broadcast specs?
Yes. Send us the delivery spec from your broadcaster or platform. We make one master for each language to that spec. Each master keeps the edit and timecode of your original. We delivered 75+ broadcast masters for national ad campaigns in India.
What approvals does AI dubbing need for a film?
Get approval from each actor whose voice or mouth changes, for the markets you plan. We recreate a voice or change a mouth only with the approvals you already have. From 2 August 2026, Article 50 of the EU AI Act asks you to disclose AI-changed video of real people. For fiction, the notice must not get in the way of watching. Our rules guide covers India and the EU. Your lawyer can confirm what your title needs.
